AVCHD-camera-DVD-burnerThe VW-BN2 is not an ordinary external DVD burner. Panasonic is kind enough to have announced their new external DVD burner, VW-BN2, which is specially made to be used with an ACVHD camera, so the users can burn the video contents onto DVD while on the run.

ACVHD cameras are cameras capable of recording and playback high-def videos. And the ACVHD format has been jointly developed by Panasonic and Sony. Sony DVDirect Burner is also a DVD burner that can be connected to video cam and allows ACVHD recording.

The burner can also be used for DVD replication for videos as well as converting HD videos to SD ones. The Panasonic VW-BN2 is able to provide a maximum speed of 8x for DVD ±R and 4x for DVD ±DL. It will be sold in Japan in December for a price of 25000 Yen or about $278.

Removing the dead spots of conventional infrared controllers, the new universal remote makes use of orientation response to control all your devices. All you need to do is just turn the Peel over on its back to turn off the devices in use.
